Roberto Saavedra  Walker

Visual artist born in Santiago of Chile in 1952.
Studied in the École de Beaux Arts de Paris. As painter and sculptor has managed to reach success in his career; not only for his modern and surrealistic works but, also for his domain of the realism in historical subjects and portraits. Saavedra Walker has carried out individual exhibitions in Europe ,America and Africa where he has participated in numerous collective exhibitions. His work is found in museums, public and private collections around the world.


His works are exhibited in important collections of museums and institutions of the cities in Ecuador. His projects and works of historical character are a significant contribution to the development of the national identity of Ecuador.
 

Artistic peregrination.

1971.- Beginning of his first artistic tour Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico and the USA.

1972 1977.- France. During this period he lived and studied in Paris.

1974: Artistic tour in south east Asia; Hong Kong Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore , Malaysia Thailand.

1976.-Beginning of his artistic tour in Africa visiting Algeria, Niger, Alto Volta, Ghana, Togo, Dahomey and Nigeria where he attends the first festival of African culture FESTAC.

1977-78.-He, resides in the Ibiza and the Canary islands Spain.

1979.-Ecuador where he resides today, author of various projects, and teaching experiences acquired in four continents
